The arsenal of techniques and theories used in Psychodrama are adapted and applied in Monodrama.
The psychotherapist supports a person’s creativity so that they can seek new solutions and meanings in their lives.

Monodrama...

Provides an opportunity to act out significant life events. It opens spaces in which to see the accompanying and repressed emotions, experiences, patterns, or anything else that may be influencing on one's present reality.

In playing, the client can experience themselves in different positions and roles. For example, if a person wants to feel more confident in their life, they need to imagine what that might look like.

After trying out such a role, then he would have greater clarity about how he might feel that way and how to achieve it. Monodrama opens up spaces for catharsis and integration of new solutions.
